How it works
Rather than shaving the entire donor area, surgeons trim only small, easily concealable sections at a time during extraction — surrounding longer hair covers the trimmed sections, keeping the overall hairstyle largely intact throughout the process.
U-FUE takes somewhat longer than standard FUE because of the more careful, section-by-section extraction approach — worth factoring into your procedure day expectations, not a sign anything is going wrong.
Who this is best suited for

What it doesn't change
The underlying extraction and transplant technique is otherwise identical to standard FUE — graft quality, survival rates, and final results aren't different, only the visibility during the harvest process changes.
